The position

 As our infrastructure has little to no legacy of IT you will have the freedom to implement and leverage the newest cloud native services and best practices to enhance the businesses and their processes.



Corporate IT is a team of 18 IT professionals that provide IT services and solutions to the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Novo Holdings, and its subsidiaries with a total of +500 global employees.

Providing solutions to different organizations with different needs on the same common platform provides interesting challenges along with the possibility to work with a wider range of services and technologies.

As part of a small team of IT architects, you will have the chance to influence your role and responsibilities according to your interests and competencies while keeping the business’ needs and priorities in mind.

The role

As a Cloud Architect in the Corporate IT team, you will be reporting to and aligning priorities with the Head of Corporate IT.

You will be responsible for building and continually developing a secure and modern Azure cloud architecture.

Additionally, you will play a leading role in ensuring that our cloud solutions effectively support the business needs and strategic priorities of the supported organisations.

The main responsibilities of the role include: 

• Design and maintain a secure and scalable Azure cloud architecture, ensuring compliance with governance and security best practices.
• Enhance and manage resource governance, automation, and cloud operations to create a highly efficient cloud platform.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and provide cloud solutions that enable business growth.
• Support and improve Azure DevOps (ADO) deployment pipelines, streamlining cloud infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to digital teams internally and newly established companies on cloud infrastructure choices, project scoping, and security.

The role requires a broad understanding of modern technologies and the ability to imagine these technologies in a business context.

Your work is expected to be carried out within normal working hours and from the Headquarter of the Novo Nordisk Foundation and Novo Holdings in Tuborg Havn to the extent possible.

However, remote work is possible given prior notice. 

Professional qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you: 

• Have a strong understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure, governance and security practices.
• Have practical experience with design, implementation, and operations of Azure cloud solutions.
• Have experience balancing technical expertise with strong engagement and communication skills
• Are well versed in IoC and deployment pipeline methodology
• Are interested in AI and automation platforms, tools, and solutions.
• Are fluent in Danish and English (written and verbally).
