We are looking for a data manager to work with registry data within rheumatology.

The EuroSpA project

EuroSpA () is an established research collaboration network within the diagnoses of axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis with participants from 19 European countries.

The EuroSpA collaboration aims to address research questions regarding real-world treatment of arthritis patients in Europe by pooling relevant data variables from patient registries.

In the project, X-ray images and MRI scans are also collected, and the collaboration may be extended to collect data from relevant national biobanks.

The collaboration is led by a scientific committee with participants from the registries involved and support from a Coordinating Centre located in the Copenhagen Center for Arthritis Research (COPECARE) at Rigshospitalet, Glostrup.

The position

You will be part of COPECARE and the EuroSpA research collaboration, a scientific community with collaborators in 19 European countries.

As data manager, you will manage the data flow in EuroSpA in collaboration with the researchers for the individual studies.

You will be responsible for the complex collection of registry data from the various registries and for making the data ready for analysis.

You must coordinate and carry out data handling procedures in a dedicated VPN-protected cloud environment and act as a link between EuroSpA's study responsible researchers and the IT professionals who operate the cloud solution.

The daily work includes frequent communication with data managers across Europe, doctors, scientific programmers, PhD students and IT professionals.

We prioritize regular internal meetings regarding operations as well as science within the coordinating centre and facilitate two full-day meetings a year with all members of the collaboration.

As a data manager, you will be based at Rigshospitalet in Glostrup in COPECARE in the Centre for Rheumatology and Spine Diseases.

The EuroSpA Coordinating Centre is led by Professor Merete Lund Hetland and Professor Mikkel Østergaard.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a background in bioinformatics, computer science, software development, 's level as a minimum, preferably PhD level.

You have experience with integrating, documenting, and collating large amounts of complex data and create an overview.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment will take place in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility of wage supplements depending on qualifications.

This is a 2-year full-time position (37 hours/week), an extension may be possible.

Start date is expected to be October 1st, 2025 or as soon as possible.

EuroSpA projektet

EuroSpA () er et etableret forskningssamarbejde inden for diagnoserne rygsøjlegigt og psoriasisgigt med deltagelse af registre fra 19 lande i Europa.

EuroSpA samarbejdet har til formål at besvare forskningsspørgsmål vedrørende ”real-world” behandling af gigtpatienter i Europa, hvor udvalgte variable fra de enkelte landes databaser pooles.

I projektet indsamles også røntgenbilleder og MR-scanninger, og samarbejdet udvides muligvis til også at indsamle data fra relevante biobanker.

Samarbejdet ledes af en international videnskabelig komite med deltagere fra de involverede registre med støtte fra et koordinerede center, som er beliggende i Copenhagen Center for Arthritis Research (COPECARE) på Rigshospitalet, Glostrup.

Du bliver en del af COPECARE og EuroSpA forskningssamarbejdet og dermed et voksende videnskabeligt fællesskab med samarbejdspartnere i 19 europæiske lande.

Som datamanager skal du være med til at styre dataflowet i EuroSpA i samarbejde med de forskningsansvarlige for de individuelle studier.

Du får medansvar for den komplekse samling af registerdata fra de forskellige lande og for at gøre data klar til analyse.

Du skal koordinere og udføre datahåndteringsprocedurer i et dedikeret VPN-beskyttet cloud miljø og fungere som bindeled mellem EuroSpAs studieansvarlige forskere og de IT-folk, der drifter cloudløsningen.

Det daglige arbejde omfatter hyppig kommunikation med udenlandske datamanagere, læger, videnskabelige programmører og IT-folk.

Dine kompetencer

Vi forestiller os, at du har en baggrund inden for bioinformatik, datalogi, softwareudvikling, å minimum kandidat, gerne , samt at du har erfaring med at integrere, dokumentere og sammenstille store mængder komplekse data samt skabe et overblik.
