Head of IT Infrastructure Architecture

Join Lundbeck as our new Head of IT Infrastructure Architecture and play a key role in shaping the foundation of our global IT landscape.

Your new role

As Head of IT Infrastructure Architecture, you will define and drive Lundbeck’s global infrastructure roadmap.

You will lead a team of skilled infrastructure architects and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support our business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Direction: Set, together with the team, the architectural vision and direction for IT infrastructure (network, compute, storage, cloud, identity, etc.), ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.
• Project Leadership: Oversee major infrastructure initiatives, driving business cases, managing budgets, and guiding procurement and execution processes.
  
  You will not be directly involved in the technical implementation but will ensure strategic alignment, delivery progress, and stakeholder commitment.
• Technology Governance: Establish standards, patterns, and governance frameworks for infrastructure technologies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders, security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure consistency and alignment.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact on Lundbeck’s business.

Your future team

As a member of Global IT, you will join a dynamic and diverse organization of 140 global colleagues.

We provide a wide range of IT services and ensure secure, efficient operations for over 5600 colleagues across all business units and geographies.

You will report to the Head of Global IT Operations and be part of a leadership team of five.

The position is based at Lundbeck's headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.

What you bring to the team

You are motivated by empowering your team and driving architectural excellence.

You bring:

• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure programs from planning to implementation, with a focus on business value, governance, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with procurement processes and vendor negotiations (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities that empower others and ensure alignment between technical execution and strategic goals.
• A deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including both traditional and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience leading architectural work in large-scale environments.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to translate business needs into architectural solutions.
• A relevant academic degree and 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or related roles.
