Job description

How you will make an impact

In this exciting maternity cover, you will play an important role in driving the research agenda by supporting the strategic direction in Arla as primary nutrition point of contact for Skyr/Quark, Value Added Milk, Early Life Nutrition and Fermented business areas.

As a Nutrition Scientist supporting for Skyr/Quark, Value Added Milk, Early Life Nutrition and Fermented business areas, you are on top of the latest dairy nutrition science especially regarding cardiometabolic health and have knowledge within infant’s and children’s specific needs within their different growth periods.

This spans from nutrition during pregnancy to the child’s first years of life.

You will be the one to translate nutrition and health science into business, delivering the solutions by integrating your knowledge into the business and projects.

Furthermore:

  • Integrating all your nutrition knowledge into new product development within Skyr/Quark and Value Added Milk strongholds as and the Early Life Nutrition, Open Innovation and Fermented Business.
  • Working in close collaboration with our regulatory department.


  • Working in close collaboration with our product innovation departments.


  • Enabling two-way knowledge transfer with stakeholders in Arla Foods, e.g. new product development and Marketing.


  • Monitoring latest dairy nutrition science especially regarding cardiometabolic health but also for infants and children science.

  • Who are you?A holistic thinker with a commercial mind-set, you are a champion at translating your scientific knowledge into business.

    You bring your personality into play in stakeholder management, collaboration and explaining your findings to colleagues outside your own function to engage and excite our organization on the health agenda.

    You will take part in setting the direction for your area, so it is important that you speak your mind, are innovative as well as performance-driven and create structure around you.

    Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Ms Sc and potentially a PhD in Nutrition Science.

  • + 1-2 years of research experience within nutrition science.

  • +1-2 years of experience in food industry an advantage.

  • Business mindset and skills in translating science into business.

  • Good project manager skills.

  • Excellent English language skills orally and in writing
