Site Quality Manager

Danish Crown Ringsted slaughters, cuts, and packs pork for markets worldwide, with the USA, Germany, Japan, and the UK being the most crucial. These markets receive combs and middle pieces for the world-famous Danish Bacon.
As the Site Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include conducting customer audits, certification audits, and inspections in close cooperation with Food Safety and the factory. You'll manage your department, including staffing and training responsibilities.
Your specific tasks will involve:
Ensuring the maintenance of GRMS certification and customer certifications in cooperation with the factory and Food Safety. Implementing applicable GRMS requirements, legislation, and various customer requirements. Conducting external audits, including customer audits and third-party audits. Participating in audits and inspections by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, as well as meetings with the Danish Meat Inspectorate. Conducting internal audits in the factories following the audit plan. Serving as the go-to resource in hygiene and food safety for the production and technical department. Acting as the project manager in projects related to food safety at the factory. Updating the Quality Management System (E-smiley) with a focus on risk assessments. Managing the HACCP team. Being a member of the LEAN core team.
You will have the authority to stop production at any time if food safety conditions are not met.
Be an ambassador and take responsibility for daily operations
As an ambassador and leader, you will take responsibility for daily operations, leading the quality department at the factory and having daily management responsibilities for the local food safety team. Your professional expertise will be supported by specialists at the headquarters in Randers.
Who is the right match for the job?
We expect you to have a background in process technology, food technology, or a similar field. Experience in food production, especially in the meat industry, is essential. You must have knowledge of food safety and certifications such as HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, as well as experience as a lead auditor. LEAN experience would also be an advantage.
You thrive in decision-making and value diverse perspectives. Open dialogue with clear communication is crucial, as well as your abilities as an ambassador and your capacity to elevate the department.
